Eben Botha signs as Professional for 2024

Bury CC are delighted to announce the signing of South African Eben Botha as our club professional for the 2024 season.

Eben, 24, is a left handed opening/top order batsman and right arm offspin bowler. Bury will be his third UK club, as he has already spent a period as an overseas amateur at Walton On Thames CC (scoring over 1000 runs & taking 42 wickets), before spending the 2022 & 2023 seasons as professional at Coggeshall Town in the Essex League. In two seasons there, he scored over 1800 runs and took over 50 wickets.

Eben is also a keen coach and is looking forward to getting stuck in at Radcliffe Road in 2024. He is currently playing his first class cricket for Border in South Africa, following a spell playing in Australia, so we will be keeping a keen eye on his progress over the Winter!
