Bury Cricket Club is delighted to announce the signing of Australian Riley Vernon for the 2024 season.
Riley has just completed the 2023/24 season for Gisborne CC, where he scored 1058 runs at an average of 70.58, with a high score of 148 from just 98 balls in March. His off-spin also produced 18 wickets at 20.33.
This will not be his first visit to North England - the 23 year old played at Tong Park Esholt CC in 2023 - scoring 712 runs, including a high of 173*, and taking 20 wickets.
Riley is currently in India, where he is attending the MS Dhoni Cricket Academy for 2 weeks of training, and will briefly fly home to Melbourne before flying over to the UK early next week. We are looking forward to welcoming Riley to Bury next week!
