New Chairman elected and important notices

On Thursday 4th March, the newly formed committee met for the first time. During this meeting, Gary Garner was elected chairman of Bury Cricket Club. Following this, Jules Spencer was elected as vice-chairman.

More information on a changed club structuring will be communicated with members soon. We will need a number of new volunteers to spare some time throughout the season.

James Weston was also selected as the third team captain for the 2021 season.

There are a number of important notices that the committee wish to bring to the attention of our members:

• We are currently in the process of changing kit suppliers. Please do not make any more purchases from our previous club shop - all links to this shop have been removed from our social media sites. Details on our new supplier and a new club shop will be coming very soon.
• In order to get the ground ready for the start of the season, we are appealing for volunteers to lend a hand on the weekend of 10/11 April. If you can spare some time, please contact Dave Bowen or Gary Garner, so we can arrange a time in line with COVID-19 guidelines.
• In line with government guidelines, we can begin to offer outdoor training sessions from the week commencing 29th March. More details will follow on this prior to this date.
• The senior league season begins on 17th April and the junior league season will begin on 2nd May. More details on junior cricket will be shared when we have them.
• You can add our club calendar to your personal google calendar. You can do this by simply clicking here and following the on-screen instructions, or by visiting our club calendar page and clicking the '+' icon in the bottom right hand corner. Alternatively, you can subscribe to a particular team's fixtures via TeamApp. From the homepage, visit the calendar tab, select the team (or 'All entries' to add all games) and click 'subscribe' in the top left corner. Then follow the on-screen instructions to add the fixtures to your google calendar or iCalendar.
