Just the two games took place this week, with the rain wiping out any junior action on Monday, and it was two victories for our sides.
The Under 13s came away from Woodbank on Sunday with a 20 run victory. Ali Abbas and James McCormack both passed 30 as Bury scored 123-5 from their 20 overs – their highest total of the year so far. Ali Abbas again starred with the ball, taking 3 wickets with Woodbank bowled out for 103 in the final over.
On Wednesday, the U11s added another win to their tally in their top-of-the-table clash with Middleton. Lucas Alford top scored with 17 with Bury being restricted to a net of 249 from their 16 overs. Six bowlers took wickets, with Bury’s tight bowling and fielding keeping Middleton down to 227 – that was their first league loss of the season.
Junior Star Performer of the Week: Ali Abbas for his 34 runs and 3 wickets for 9 runs (U13s)
