GMCL Player Registration

Player registration is now open for the 2021 season. Every player - both senior and junior - must complete this registration in order to be eligible to play any league games for Bury CC. Please read all of the below information and attempt to complete the registration as soon as possible. If you have any difficulties please contact james@burycc.co.uk.

When registering you will need

• A personal e-mail address
• A card for payment of the £10 fee for all players over 18
• A "passport style" image of your head and shoulders with no sunglasses or non-religious headwear which would prevent identification from the photo - this is for all players who will play Open-Age cricket

The payment of £10 is for players over 18 only, but all junior and senior players will receive the below benefits once registration is complete:

• Personal Accident Insurance for all GMCL games including travel to and from the games they take part in - GMCL have already paid this insurance and this is in place ready for the season
• Free Premium Access to the cricHQ stats and videos through the e-mail address you register with.

Registration is also open to club coaches and club officials (free) who will also be given access to the cricHQ app.

Instructions

When you click on this link you will be taken to the registration window for our club and ask if

• you are registering for yourself or
• registering as a guardian of a child under 16.

If you registered as a player in 2020 and/or have an existing cricHQ account, then firstly sign in as prompted on the right hand side. This will then return you go the previous screen when logged in.

Click on "Myself" or "My Children" - 

If the system recognises your e-mail address it will then ask if you want to link to your previous record on cricHQ (this can be corrected later if you have issues).

If you do not want to link click on "Dismiss" or otherwise click on "Register Selected Players".

This takes you to the next page where you do the basic registration -

• Enter name, initials, date of birth, gender then (Note - The initials are what would appear before your surname on the scorecard, e.g. if the initial is BG then the scorecard will read as 'BG Surname') 
• add an image (optional for those not playing open age cricket); It must be a passport style, current, face forward, no headwear or face coverings, head & shoulders shot
• Then your ECB player type - this will be National Player for a majority of our players
• then add your professional or amateur status - for almost all this will be 'Does not apply'
• then your role - Official / Umpire / Player

Where you have clicked on "My Children" - the page allows you to add more than one child and also asks for your details as parent / guardian

When you click on submit -

• the system will show the image, your name and age and then ask you to select your subscription type and
• when selected it will show the cost.
• At the foot of the page are the GMCL & cricHQ GDPR policies and you click on the box to agree to the T&Cs & Club rules.
• At this point you can "Go Back" or "Submit"
• The payment process will follow

You will then get another chance to double check, but the club admin can make amendments for you if needed.

You will receive an e-mail to the e-mail address entered and you must verify your registration and claim your player profile. 

The league will review the registrations and notify the club if you fail to submit a suitable id photo, registration for the season will not be valid until the club administrator corrects the image.
