COVID-19 Update 17/3/20

To add to the postponements announced yesterday, we can now announce that the Annual Golf Day, scheduled for Friday 1st May, has now been postponed and has been rearranged for Friday 25th September. Every team that has entered the golf day should recieve communication regarding this.

Also, our Annual Walk held on Bank Holiday Monday at the end of May will also be postponed.

This afternoon, the Greater Manchester Cricket League released a statement with an update on the latest stance. You can read this by clicking here .

Summary of the key points:

- The GMCL season will not commence as originally planned on 18th April

- "We are unlikely to restart before the end of May 2020"

- Junior season will also be delayed

- When, or if, the season gets underway, there will be 'an alternative meaningful competition' for clubs who can and wish to play what is left of the season, with no penalty for any clubs not wishing to enter

- As a result, the 2021 season will begin with same divisional placings as where planned for 2020
