Bury CC 1st XI v Walshaw CC 1st XI

Big, big game sees everyone's favourite derby match, Bury v Walshaw. Bury will be looking for revenge after losing at Sycamore Road in a rain affected match in May.

Only 4 points seprate the teams with the visitors in 9th spot and Bury in 11th but Walshaw arrive on the back of a great victory over then division-leaders Bamford Fieldhouse on their own pitch last week.

Bury also had a strong weekend as well, losing very narrowly to Denton St Lawrence (away) on Friday in the GMCL20 Q Final then beating Egerton at home to make up ground against them in the relegation dogfight. The weekend ended with a home victory, albeit an unsatisfactory bowl-off one, against DSL in the cup semi to set up a final tie with Egerton !

Bury / Walshaw games are always keenly contested affairs and with the added spice of relegation safety thrown in this should be a great game.
