Bury batted first and started reaching 61-2 off 18 with Nathan Ramsay being the main stay of the batting, eventually being out on 37 before a collapse saw Roe Green fight back and Bury were 65-6 two overs later. Lee Halliwell brought stability to the lower order finishing on 36 and with help from Lleyton Belston and Harry Barnett Bury reached 141-8, Steve Errington from Roe Green finished with an excellent 4 for 15.
The match was evenly poised going into the 2nd Innings in the sweltering heat and the Roe Green openers Colin Dermody and Liam Needham quickly reached 50 without loss before Burys young spin duo of Harry Barnett and Lleyton Belston completely changed the match with an excellent display of slow bowling, both taking 5 wickets and 21 runs later Roe Green were all out and Bury were 70 run winners.
The joint Men of the Match winners were Harry Barnett and Lleyton Belston who both took 5 wickets
